Tenant Involvement

Elim Housing Association currently facilitates three area based tenant groups:-

• Birmingham
• Bristol
• Newport, South Wales

These groups provide a useful forum for tenants and housing management staff to meet to discuss various issues affecting tenants and their homes.

The groups in Birmingham and Bristol meet 4 times per year; the Newport group has just started meeting and tenants have said they want to meet 3 times per year.

We are also looking to add a tenant representative to the Housing Management Committee.

You may be aware of the developments at government level in the way housing is regulated with the recent setting up of the Tenants Services Authority.

As part of these changes the National Tenants Voice is a forum for tenants across the whole country to come together to influence housing policy and practice.

Elim Housing is very supportive of this initiative and would like to encourage you to take part in this initiative.
