Comprising of 17 runners and walkers, 10 relay legs and 35 miles, the event was a fun and successful day for everyone involved.

Early April 2014
GEAR Projects works to relieve sickness, poverty and distress amongst the vulnerable, homeless and street homeless population of Gloucestershire. It achieves this through the provision of day centre support services, a county-wide homeless outreach service for rough sleepers, accommodation for people recovering from addictions, and through a close partnership with the NHS Homeless Healthcare Clinic which is co-located within GEAR’s Vaughan Centre.
As a result of changes in the statutory funding GEAR receives, the past year has been an extremely challenging time for GEAR Projects. However, supported by Elim Housing Association, the charity is committed to seeking new projects and fundraising opportunities to continue helping people experiencing homelessness in Gloucestershire.
On Saturday April 26, staff, volunteers and friends of Elim Housing and GEAR Projects will come together to raise awareness and fundraise for GEAR by taking part in a 30 mile relay between Elim’s Head Office in North Bristol, to GEAR’s Vaughan Centre in Gloucester City Centre. All monies raised will go directly towards helping GEAR Projects to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
