Phoenix Place Volunteer Day

19th May 2014

On Friday 16th May, 15 volunteers arrived at Phoenix Place in Bristol to help decorate the supported scheme. There was a very positive atmosphere and the day had a great impact on the scheme which provides housing and support for 55 women aged between 16 to 65 years old. Thank you to all the volunteers and to Business in The Community (BITC) who helped organise the day. We also received a visit from the Mayor of Bristol, George Ferguson, who came along to Phoenix to celebrate the benefit of voluntary work in the community.

Give & Gain is a celebration of the power and potential of employee volunteering across the world. By getting unprecedented numbers of people out volunteering on one day, they champion the talent, skill and energy found in business and the role it can play in helping communities prosper. To find out more about Give & Gain Day visit the BITC website.
