Supported Housing Officer

We are a housing organisation who are embedding our new ‘CARES’ culture. Elim Housing Association has been providing Supported Housing Services for over 25 years and Floating Support since 2003. We also provide services to around 800 individuals and families in England and Wales in more independent accommodation and continue to actively develop new initiatives and build new homes. We are looking to recruit a Supported Housing Officer to work primarily between Priory Court and Lanercost and Wigton

Priory Court is a project to help support parents in gaining the confidence and skills to be able to move out in the community. We are staffed 7 days a week 8am to 8pm which enables us to support those parents with higher support needs so flexibility is required as the work pattern includes some evenings, weekends and Bank Holiday work.  We are a part of the Bristol Parents Alliance (BPA). 

Supported Housing Officer role is both challenging and rewarding. You will be responsible for working closely with our residents ensuring they receive psychologically informed support on a 1 to 1 basis.  You will also be responsible for supporting them with managing and sustaining their tenancy, including rent and housing management alongside working with other agencies to ensure our residents get the best support and outcomes.  Excellent communication and strong organisational skills are essential in this role.

We are looking for someone with a positive, solution focused approach with a background of working with vulnerable people in housing or a support related environment. We have a comprehensive training and induction programme to cover any gaps in technical knowledge. This is a great opportunity to work both in a higher support project as part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team.
