Manor Gardens and Newstead Road are owned by the Barnwood Trust, and Elim Housing is the managing agent providing housing management services.
Manor Gardens currently offers one and two bedroom properties and there are plans to offer a range of accommodation options including 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, 2 bedroom bungalows and houses.
Belonging is at the heart of the new development – for both existing and future residents. Barnwood Trust are phasing the redevelopment to make sure everyone who currently lives in Manor Gardens will be able to remain living on site throughout. Barnwood Trust are working with residents to plan its redevelopment and integrate it into the surrounding neighbourhood. The vision is to create a great place for people to live, whether or not they have a disability or mental health problem. This involves developing a joined-up approach that combines high-quality housing with building connected community and strong care and support networks.
Elim is working closely with Barnwood Trust, and together we are developing ways to give residents more choice and control over their housing and care provision.
There is a strong sense of community amongst the people who live at Manor Gardens. Residents love the gardens and recognise the benefit of a peaceful, supportive environment. We want that to be available to more people, with higher-quality homes and an even stronger sense of belonging.
There is an onsite Housing Officer providing a more intensive level of housing management to those residents who need it. Elim provides a support service to those residents who wish to pay for this. Plus, signposting to specialist support agencies and organisations. Anyone interested in living at Manor Gardens should contact the office directly on 01452 615104. The Manor Gardens site has a specific Allocations Policy, which is available on request.
