It’s a great way to make a positive contribution to your local community, meet new people and gain experience. It might help you get back into work, help you pursue a certain career or bolster your CV.
The volunteering positions we offer are especially rewarding due to the client group we support. Some of our services wouldn’t exist without the time and dedication of our volunteers. We truly value volunteer’s contributions to the communities we work in.
You will receive the appropriate training and support to ensure your successfulness in the role. In return, we ask for your commitment to the role so that we can continue to deliver our services to an excellent standard.
Volunteering will not require specific qualifications or previous experience working in a housing or support-related field. Volunteers will need a positive attitude and willingness to help others.
As part of the volunteering application process, we have to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check (formally known as Criminal Records Bureau check). Having a criminal record will not automatically disqualify you from volunteering with us. You will also need to provide two written references so that we can protect the clients we support.
If you are interested in a volunteer position, or think you may have a different skill to offer, please contact the HR team on 01454 411172 or email HR@elimhousing.co.uk.
Are you a student looking for a placement as part of a sandwich degree or summer internship? We often take on students to help complete projects, and some of our students even go on to be employed by us once their placement has ended.
