By 2024 Elim Housing will deliver 120 new homes for affordable rent and ownership; these will be equally split between homes for affordable rent and shared ownership properties. Our commercial subsidiary, Lime Property Ventures, will develop a further 60 homes for sale, which will generate profit for reinvestment in the work of the Group.
Elim Housing Association’s growth will be focussed in the four core operating areas of Bristol, North Somerset, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire. However, we are actively seeking to extend the specialist services we offer across a wider geographical area; this includes the development and management of Gypsy and Traveller accommodation or specific support services.
Lime Property Ventures will also pursue opportunities across a broader geographical area as directed by its independent Board of Directors.
We are currently a preferred development partner with Homes England, Bristol City Council, Gloucester City Council, South Gloucestershire Council and North Somerset Council. We are also a member of the West of England Housing Development panel.
We continue to build relationships with our new and existing strategic partners, with a particular focus on formal joint ventures which will allow us to pool our expertise, resources and funding to share risk and contribute to the achievement of our development programme. We are also very interested in creating partnerships with new suppliers and contractors to take advantage of new methods of construction and create new offers in the market place.
The recent developments that we have completed are testament to the variety and breadth of our development programme. Providing homes for single people who are ready to move on from supported accommodation, general needs family homes and homes for the Gypsy and Traveller community, we have delivered a range of tenures including social, intermediate and affordable rent, and shared ownership home.
