On Wednesday 28th August we held our first residents’ event in Kings Square, Bristol. Elim provides over 80 homes in the immediate area, and all residents were invited to join the event which was attended by different members of Elim’s housing and maintenance teams, along with partner organisations including The Nelson Trust, Bristol Waste and Bristol Council Money and Debt advice. Dr Bike was also on hand at the event to repair and service our residents’ bikes free of charge.
Residents had the opportunity to ask questions about the services they receive and to join wider conversation about the local area. One great conversation that took place has prompted us, alongside Bristol Waste, to see how we might help improve recycling and waste management in the area.
Two residents spoke to our maintenance team about issues they were experiencing within their properties and we are now working to resolve these.
Thank you to our customers who took the time to join us for this event. We will use your experiences and feedback to improve our services and the way we work. We aim to be the best organisation we can possibly be for all of our customers, and we are committed to listening and ensuring that our services are shaped by your needs and requirements.
We hope all residents that attended had a great time and left feeling listened too and understood.
If you have any suggestions for future events in your area, please contact Georgie, our Customer Engagement Officer at: g.gigg@elimhousing.co.uk.
